Raymond E. Branton, PsyD, Licensed Psychologist, Clinical, Family, & Forensic Psychology
Dr. Branton earned his Doctorate degree and Master of Arts degree in Clinical and Family Psychology from Azusa Pacific University and completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education at Arizona State University. Dr. Branton is the founder and Clinical Director of Arizona Psychology Consultants, Inc., and is the owner and Clinical Director of Professional Counseling Associates, LLC. Dr. Branton completed his docotoral internship at the University Counseling Center at Texas State University at San Marcos, TX. He is also honored to be a board member for Chris Simning Ministries, dba Obscure Ministries, a nonprofit ministry focusing on those broken in body and spirit.
Dr. Branton specializes in marriage and family systems, spiritual integration, depression, anxiety, substance addictions, sex addictions, trauma and abuse, anger management, and men's issues. He provides individual, marital, and family therapy as well as psychological and forensic/court related assessments. Dr. Branton has practiced in several different settings including private practice, non-profit community outpatient clinics, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment centers and group homes, public schools, and university counseling centers. Thus, he has experience with a wide range of clientele, including children, adolescents, and adults. He is a preferred provider for Maricopa County Superior Court - Family Court Division and provides custody evaluations, parenting coordination, and supervised visitation services as well as other court-related services.
Dr. Branton enjoys an active speaking schedule on a wide range of topics including neurological and biological processes, the change process, addictions, spiritual integration, existentialism, stress management, and positive psychology. He has served as adjunct faculty for Azusa Pacific University, Citrus Community College, South Mountain Community College, Scottsdale Community College Business Institute, and Phoenix Seminary. He is available for seminars and presentations and provides organizational assessment and consultation services. For example, Dr. Branton frequently provides team assessment services and training on assessments such as the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), the Taylor-Johnson Temperament Analysis (TJTA), and the Fundamental Interpersonal Relations Orientation-Behavior (FIRO-B), among other assessment measures. He also frequently works closely with non-profit, church and para-church organizations. Additionally, Dr. Branton enjoys providing supervision and consultation services for other mental health practicioners. Recently, he has provided team assessment and consultation for Karis Community Fellowship in the Atlanta-metro area, Fellowship Bible Church in Northwest Arkansas and First Covenant Church in Sacramento, CA. He has also presented as a guest speaker on the Liddy and Hill Show on KKNT; at Southwest Behavioral Health Training Institute in Phoenix, AZ; at Central Christian Church of the East Valley Men's Challenge in Williams, AZ; and at Empact's 40th Annual Southwest School for Behavioral Health Studies Conference in Tucson, AZ.
This current fee is an estimate for one 50 minute regular counseling/psychotherapy session. Fees may be subject to change depending on the the nature and type of services provided. All fees and services provided will be discussed and approved by informed consent before services are rendered.
