We are excited to share with you our initial newsletter. PCA is dedicated not only to providing quality Christian counseling services, but to also be a resource to the community in many other ways. Thus, in our quarterly newsletter you’ll find encouraging and educational articles, updates on timely research in the fields of health and psychology, and links to local events and resources that churches and organizations might be offering. Our desire is that our office is a safe, healthy place for individuals who might be hurting but that we are also a leader and advocate for a safe, healthy community that is unified and serves one another. Reducing Stress amid a Stressful Time

This is a stressful if not scary time for many of us. While the economy has shown some recent glimmers of hope, the negative financial impact on many of us is far from over. Having less money tightens the budget for so many aspects of our lives, and the accumulation of those financial pinches can be the tipping point for intolerable feelings of stress, anxiety, frustration, and discouragement. The good news is that there are some smart and practical ways to cope with stress and other negative feelings that will help turn this current crisis into an opportunity to cope, to grow, and to deepen trust in God.

Where is God When it Hurts, by Philip Yancey
