Dr. Koutsogiannis earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Arizona School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University after completing an APA accredited internship at GeoCare, South Florida State Hospital in Pembroke Pines Florida. She obtained her Masters of Arts in Clinical Psychology from the Arizona School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University and her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Dr. Koutsogiannis has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. Her clinical experience includes psychotherapy utilizing client-centered and cognitive behavioral approaches, often in a multi-cultural setting, addressing issues such as depression, loss and grief, anxiety, separation anxiety disorder, behavior problems, bipolar disorder, psychosis, and schizophrenia. Dr. Koutsogiannis has specialized training in the fields of personality disorders, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.

As the owner of Illinois-based New Foundations, Inc., she provided in-home Applied Behavior Analysis therapy to children diagnosed with autism and acted as a school liaison in order to ensure continuity of care. As a research assistant at North Central College in Naperville, Illinois, she researched self- esteem issues in adolescents, the findings of while were presented at the 1999 Midwest Psychological Association Annual Conference in Chicago. Her doctoral research focused on the development of Separation Anxiety in children. Dr. Koutsogiannis has served in a variety of settings including an inner- city school for homeless children state hospitals, and community-integrated healthcare. Dr. Koutsogiannis is an active member of the APA (American Psychological Association) and the AZPA (Arizona Psychological Association).


In addition to the primary areas of focus, Dr Koutsogiannis also has experience with depression, loss and grief, anxiety, separation anxiety disorder, behavior problems, bipolar disorder, psychosis, and schizophrenia. Dr. Koutsogiannis has specialized training in the fields of play therapy, personality disorders, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
